A special setting
Chongli, known as the Olympic Village of the 2022 Winter Games, was the stage for this international student championship. Team Netherlands arrived well prepared: the course was scouted, team spirit grew, and the World Championships were officially kicked off during the opening ceremony.
A flying start
In the first days of competition, Team Netherlands immediately made itself heard. Silver in the team time trial and silver in the women's sprint race. Topped off with an impressive fifth place in the individual time trial an impressive opening at the highest level of student cycling.
Fighting until the end
In the days that followed, Team Netherlands kept performing. In the road race, strong individual overall standings were achieved, despite the heat and humidity. On the mountain bike course, conditions were tough heavy rain, wind, and a demanding track but Team Netherlands didn't give up. Silver in the mountain bike team relay and bronze in the men's team sprint rounded off an impressive week.
Quantum Leben: proud sponsor of Team Netherlands
Quantum Leben is honored to have been able to sponsor this special team during the 2026 World Student Cycling Championships. What made it extra special was the personal connection to the team: Koen de Jong, a working student at the Quantum Leben Academy, was part of Team Netherlands. The fact that someone who combines studying and practical experience with us is competing at this level at the same time makes us as an organization extra proud. Seeing our logo on Team Netherlands' kits, as they competed among the best student cyclists in the world, was a moment we will never forget.
We congratulate all the women and men of Team Netherlands on these fantastic achievements. You have shown what the Netherlands stands for.
